Greetings for the new year

Dear Friends and Family,
Well this letter has become more of a Happy New Years letter But we also send a rather late Merry Christmas! Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

This year whenever we said " Merry Christmas" it seems to pack more of a punch, since the M.C. debate has been going on; and so now when we say "Merry Christmas" it really means "Merry Christmas!" Praise the Lord!" Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will make you paths straight." This has been a scripture that we have held on to for years but especially since our time in France. There was much we didn’t understand as we returned to the States. One thing we knew; was that He is always faithful to His word, and He does watch over it to perform it. We have seen Him leading us in many ways, as this year has progressed. The two major things that He led us into, are a new house that we bought this past August, and an opportunity to minister on a weekly basis at a church called Fellowship of Living Faith. So we have been driving 3 hours each way every weekend. It is a blessing that Cindy’s mom lives in Norman, So we drive 2 hours to her house on Sat. Then the rest of the way on Sunday. It has been a very rewarding time and we see the grace of pastoring growing with every service. There is a very committed core there and it has been a blessing being part there. We are also attending World Outreach Church, when we are in Tulsa. John goes to Lindsay every week and Cindy and the kids go every other week. We are prayerfully considering moving there as long distance pastoring is not the best for the church. John has also been painting a lot and we continue to work on our house; which seems never-ending! Cindy has been doing some substitute teaching at a private school and starting to teach a drawing program for children called "Young Rembrandts" It has been fun and Casie has enjoyed doing the projects as Mom practices for her lessons. Chris will be taking concurrent classes at Tulsa Community College and then graduating from HS this spring, Yea! Jordan is in 10th grade, Shawn is in 7th and Casie is in 2nd grade. The kids have all made friends and have all been great even with all the traveling we do every month. We still have missions on our hearts and financially we are just about able to start taking some short trips to see if there is grace to go that direction again. We have open doors for trips to several places, yet we want to follow His plans and not just take trips to take trips . We have lots to pray about but we know His plans and purposes will be revealed and we will continue to follow them.We send lots of love and hugs to each of you. We miss you. Praise God there is no distance in the Spirit! We hope you know that we always have room for you...so if you are in the area we would love to have you stay with us or at least stop in for a visit!
With love and joy in Jesus,

...John and Cindy.... Chris... Jordan... Shawn and Casie...
