Winter 2001
Dear Partners,
Greetings from France,It’s hard to believe we’ve been here for almost one year now. It’s been an honor serving in the Church here and teaching in Domata Bible School. As you know the main vision for Domata schools is to raise up ministers to reach their country for Christ. In this class some have in heart to write books, and some translate books, we see some becoming evangelists, others possibly pastoring….. But, we’ll be just as proud of those who just go back to their local church and serve and be a blessing to their pastor.
We personally have stretched and grown in many ways- We’ve seen God’s provision time and again, We know its His Plan, His Harvest field and He will always provide. We thank all of you so much for being a part of God’s provision for us here in France. We are enclosing partner cards with this letter. Many of you have made one-year commitments; others have given as they were led. It would help us out in planning for this next year if you would tell us what you have in your heart for this year. As always, no pressure, we just want you to follow what God’s put in your heart.
We are also committed to you – God gave us this scripture for you this year.
Ps 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness,
For His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and loving, kindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
This is The Shepherds heart for you. This, is also our heart and prayer for you,
That this year….. You’ll not be in lack –you’ll be satisfied-
Your soul be continually restored –That God would lead, guide and direct your steps -You’d live in God’s protection - You’d not live in fear, because you know that God is with you- That God’s blessings and anointing rest upon you and overflow to others. Finally, everywhere you go you’d see God’s favor and goodness following you -
France traditionally has not been a place where foreigners find much favor. They can make it hard for you to be here. . But we could tell you story after story of God’s favor and goodness with us here in France. We’re believing for you that this year you’d find God’ same favor and goodness everywhere you go.
We love you and hope to see you sometime this year.
